Editorial & Disclosure Policy

At Hearts in Translation, our goal is to help readers find connection in their blended relationships.

At Hearts in Translation, our goal is to help our readers thrive in their blended and cross-cultural relationships. We do this in a number of ways including product and service recommendations, how-to guidance, and overall relationship inspiration.

Ultimately, we want you to feel empowered in your relationships, which is why each story we publish has hours of research, writing, fact-checking and editing behind it and our recommendations come from real experience and real people – like you.

Product and service reviews at Hearts in Translation is an ever-changing process. We strive to provide high quality recommendations of products and services we or our trusted partners have personally tried.

We only work with writers who are experienced and knowledgeable in the category. If you’re reading a review of parenting books, we can promise that the writer has read and utilized the book personally.

We’re committed to testing any product we recommend. You won’t find reviews that come from aggregated online information.

We write our product reviews and recommendations based on hands-on testing. We request samples from the various PR agencies and in some cases, we buy the testing samples ourselves. Every printed thought and opinion comes from this testing, and not from other reviews online or third-party information.

If a brand or product pays us to write an article, it will be clearly marked as “sponsored content.”

As with most sites on the internet, we do use affiliate links.

As an Amazon Associate, we may earn a small commission from qualifying purchases from Amazon.com if you click through and make a purchase.

However, affiliate partnerships do not affect inclusion in our reviews and stories. If a brand does not have an affiliate account but tests well, we will 100% still include them. Our priority is always providing the best, high-quality content to help you get the most out of your relationships.
